Eligibility Criteria
Generalists: Graduate or postgraduate degree in any discipline (including Engineering, Arts, Science, Commerce, Agriculture, Data Science) with minimum 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwBD).
Hindi Officers: Master’s degree with Hindi and English in the prescribed subject combination, minimum 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwBD).
Working knowledge of computers is mandatory for both.

Pay Scale
Basic pay scale of Rs. 82,485 – 4,050(14) – 1,39,185 – 4,390(4) – 1,56,745, with gross monthly pay of approximately Rs. 1,10,000 at metropolitan centres, plus gratuity, LTS, medical benefits, NPS and leased accommodation.
Selection Process
Tier I – Preliminary Examination: 100 marks (English, Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude), 60 minutes, qualifying in nature.
Tier II – Main Examination: Objective test (250 marks for Generalists, 200 marks for Hindi Officers) plus a descriptive test.
Interview of candidates who clear the main examination, called up to 3 times the number of vacancies.
Final merit: 75% weightage to the main examination and 25% to the interview.
