Eligibility
Generalist — A Graduate/Postgraduate Degree in any discipline with minimum 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwBD). Hindi Officer — A Master’s Degree in Hindi/English with specified subject combinations, and minimum 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwBD).
Selection Process
A 3-stage process — Preliminary Examination (Qualifying, 100 marks, 60 minutes), Main Examination (Objective Test of 250 marks plus a Descriptive Test of 30 marks for Letter Writing and Essay), and an Interview. Prelims is tentatively scheduled for 22 October 2026, and Mains for 30 November 2026.

A candidate can apply for either Generalist or Hindi Officer, but not both — multiple registrations or appearances will lead to cancellation of candidature. Candidates currently serving as Administrative Officers (Scale-I) in UIIC are not eligible.
