The Union Public Service Commission has released the provisional answer key for the Combined Medical Services (CMS) Examination 2026, following the exam held on 2 August 2026. Separate PDFs cover Paper I and Paper II.

Marking Scheme
Each question has four alternative answers.
One-third (0.33) of the marks is deducted for each wrong answer.
Marking more than one answer counts as wrong, with the same penalty.
No penalty for questions left blank.
Each paper carries 250 marks for 120 questions — 500 marks total for the written exam.

Click the Combined Medical Services Examination 2026 – Provisional Answer Key link.
Open the Paper I or Paper II PDF as needed.
Compare with your response sheet to estimate your score.
How to Raise Objections
Log in at upsconline.nic.in with your registered credentials.
Go to Examinations, then Representations on Question Paper & Provisional Answer Keys.
Submit your objection online — no email, post, or in-person submissions are accepted.
One-third (0.33) of the marks assigned to that question.
How do I object to a provisional answer?
Only through the official UPSC online portal, upsconline.nic.in — no other submission mode is accepted.
Cross-check your question booklet series against the correct key PDF before calculating your score — using the wrong series will give you an inaccurate estimate.
