  • Assistant Editor — A Postgraduate degree in a language/literature recognized by Sahitya Akademi, with good knowledge of English/Hindi and one or more Indian languages, plus 5 years’ experience in copy editing literary/scholarly manuscripts.
  • Senior Library & Information Assistant — A Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Library Science, with 5 years’ experience in a library of standing.
  • Other posts — Qualification varies as per Sahitya Akademi rules, pending Ministry approval.

Important Notes

  • Sahitya Akademi reserves the right to fill or not fill the advertised posts.
  • Candidates working in Central/State Govt./Autonomous bodies/PSUs should apply through proper channel or produce an NOC.
  • Candidates serving at Level 10 (₹56,100–1,77,500) and above should enclose their last five years’ ACRs (APARs).
  • OBC candidates must ensure their certificate contains a clause confirming they don’t belong to the creamy layer.
