The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs), Ministry of Railways have invited online applications for 3,993 vacancies of Junior Engineer (JE) and Depot Material Superintendent (DMS) under CEN No. 04/2026, spread across 21 RRBs and 37 post categories in the Electrical, Civil Engineering, Mechanical, Signal & Telecommunication, and Stores departments. Applications go online, running 14 August to 13 September 2026, 23:59 hrs.

Eligibility
A three-year Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Electronics & Allied Engineering) in the discipline mapped to the post, from a recognized University/Institute — higher qualifications like B.E./B.Tech in the same discipline are also acceptable. For DMS, a three-year Diploma in Engineering in any discipline (or higher) qualifies. Candidates with qualifications mapped to more than one Exam Group can choose only one.
Selection Process
A 1st Stage CBT (Mathematics, Reasoning, General Awareness, General Science — 100 questions/100 marks, screening only), followed by a 2nd Stage CBT (discipline-specific, 150 questions/150 marks), Document Verification, and Medical Examination. Negative marking of 1/3rd mark applies at both CBT stages.

General: ₹500 (₹400 refundable on appearing 1st Stage CBT)
SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen/PwBD/Female/Transgender/Minority/EBC: ₹250 (fully refundable on appearing CBT)

Choose only one RRB and indicate your preference order for zones/posts.
Fill in personal and educational details, capture a live photograph, and upload your signature.
Pay the examination fee online and submit — note your Registration Number for future reference.
