Eligibility
Candidates must have cleared the written round of UPSC ESE 2024 (Mechanical/Electrical), appeared for the ESE 2024 interview, consented to sharing their score on UPSC’s website, but were not finally recommended for selection by UPSC. Along with this, a B.E./B.Tech in the relevant Electrical or Mechanical discipline with a minimum of 60% marks is required.
Selection Process
Shortlisting based purely on UPSC ESE 2024 score (out of 1200) in the relevant discipline, category-wise, followed by Document Verification. No separate written examination or interview is conducted by MECL.
Salary
During the one-year training period: Basic Pay ₹40,000/month in the E-1 IDA pay scale (₹40,000–₹1,40,000), plus applicable Industrial Dearness Allowance, HRA, and other benefits including PF and NPS.
