Selection Process (varies by post group)
SI (Civil), RSI (AR), PC (Civil/AR), Fireman, Warders: Preliminary Written Test (qualifying only) → Physical Measurements Test → Physical Efficiency Test → Final Written Examination (4 papers; English and Telugu/Urdu qualifying, remaining two decide merit).
SI (Communications/PTO): No prelims — straight to Certificate Verification, PMT, qualifying 1600m run, then a written exam where the Technical Paper and Arithmetic/Reasoning paper (300 marks total) decide merit.
PC (Communications): PMT, qualifying 1600m run, then a single 200-mark Technical Paper decides merit.
PC Mechanics/Drivers: PMT, qualifying run, a qualifying Trade/Driving Test, then a 200-mark Technical Paper for final merit.
