Eligibility
Educational qualification depends on the applied Pay Level — Graduate degree, Class 12, Class 10, ITI, or NAC/apprenticeship qualification — along with prescribed sports achievements. Sports performance is judged only on recognized events held on or after 1 April 2024 up to the date of notification.
Application Fee
- General/OBC/Other: ₹500 (₹400 refunded on appearing in Trial)
- SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen/PwBD/Women/Minorities/EBC: ₹250 (fully refunded on appearing in Trial)
Selection Process
Selection is based on Sports Trials, Sports Achievements, and Educational Qualifications — there is no written examination. Selection trial dates will be announced separately, so candidates should be ready to appear at short notice after the closing date.
Important Conditions
- Selected candidates may be posted anywhere on Western Railway and are liable for transfer to another Railway/establishment.
- Selected male candidates are liable for active service in the Railway Engineers Unit of the Territorial Army.
- Selected candidates must submit a Service Bond of 5 years at the time of appointment.
- Candidates already employed in a PSU/Government Organization must produce a No Objection Certificate at the time of trial.
