East Coast Railway GDCE Recruitment 2026: 1421 Posts for Existing ECoR Employees

East Coast Railway’s Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC), Bhubaneswar has opened its General Departmental Competitive Examination (GDCE) 2026, covering 1421 posts across Assistant Loco Pilot, Station Master, Goods Trains Manager, Junior Engineer, Technicians, and clerical posts. This is open only to existing, eligible ECoR employees — not an open-market recruitment. Applications run 15 August to 14 September 2026.

Who Can Apply

Only regular ECoR employees (including erstwhile Waltair division/SCoR), excluding RPF/RPSF staff, who currently hold lien in ECoR. Resigned or transferred-out employees are not eligible. Employees in the same or lower grade/pay level than the notified post can apply, subject to holding the prescribed qualification.

Age Limit (as on 1 January 2027)

  • UR: up to 42 years
  • OBC: up to 45 years
  • SC/ST: up to 47 years

Selection Process

A Computer Based Test (CBT) for all posts, with negative marking of 1/3rd mark per wrong answer. ALP and Station Master posts also require a Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT); Junior Clerk cum Typist requires a Typing Skill Test. Minimum qualifying marks: UR 40%, OBC 30%, SC 30%, ST 25%. This is followed by Document Verification and a Medical Examination.

  • Visit rrcbbs.org.in and open the ECoR GDCE 2026 application link.
  • Fill in your personal details and bio-data.
  • Upload your photograph, signature, and self-attested qualification/caste certificates.
  • Register — no changes are allowed after registration.
  • Get your printed application forwarded by your controlling officer and upload the signed copy.
  • Submit before 14 September 2026.
