Delhi High Court SPA & PA Recruitment 2026: 150 Posts

The High Court of Delhi has released the detailed vacancy notice for the Senior Personal Assistant (SPA) and Personal Assistant (PA) Examination 2026, covering 150 Group ‘B’ vacancies — 117 Senior Personal Assistant and 33 Personal Assistant posts — with a panel also being prepared for future vacancies. Applications go online, running 15 September to 5 October 2026.

Eligibility

A Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university, along with English Shorthand speed of 110 w.p.m. for SPA or 100 w.p.m. for PA, and the prescribed Computer Typing speed. Applications are open to Indian citizens and subjects of Nepal, as per Government of India instructions.

Reservation for PwBD

Of the 117 SPA vacancies, 7 are reserved horizontally for PwBD candidates — 3 for OL/BL/LC/Dw/AAV, 2 for ASD/SLD/Mental Illness, and 2 for Multiple Disabilities. Out of the total PA vacancies, 3 are similarly reserved for PwBD.

Application Fee

  • General/OBC-NCL/EWS: ₹1,500
  • SC/ST/PwBD: ₹1,300
  • Application Correction: ₹200 (1st time), ₹500 (2nd time)

Selection Process

A qualifying English Typing Test, an English Shorthand Test, a Main (Descriptive) Examination, and an Interview. Every examination component is treated as compulsory, including for candidates claiming disability reservation, since the role depends on quick and accurate transcription. There’s no separate negative marking, but marks are deducted for shorthand transcription mistakes — 4 marks per full mistake and 2 marks per half mistake, within the permissible limit.

  • Pay the examination fee online and submit before 5 October 2026.
