CTET September 2026: Form Re-Opened, Apply by 1 September

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released a Form Re-Open Notice for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) September Examination 2026. The application window reopened on 25 August 2026 and closes on 1 September 2026, ahead of the exam scheduled for 6 September 2026.

Eligibility

  • Paper I (Classes 1-5) — Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks, and passed or appearing in a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
  • Paper II (Classes 6-8) — Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 45% marks, and passed or appearing in a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education, per NCTE Regulations 2002 (or a Graduate degree with a B.Ed. for certain categories).

Application Fee

  • Single Paper (I or II) — General/OBC/EWS: ₹1,000; SC/ST/PH: ₹500
  • Both Papers (I and II) — General/OBC/EWS: ₹1,200; SC/ST/PH: ₹600

Important Note

Candidates who have already completed and submitted their CTET September 2026 application form during the original window (11 May – 10 June 2026) do not need to apply again. This re-opened window is specifically for candidates who missed the earlier deadline.

  • Visit ctet.nic.in.
  • Read the CTET September 2026 Information Bulletin carefully before applying.
  • Register and fill in your personal, educational, and exam paper preference details.
  • Upload scanned Photo, Signature, and ID Proof as specified.
  • Pay the applicable fee via Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, or E-Challan, and submit before 1 September 2026.
